CHARLES DUPOIS

Recording Artist, Actor & World Peace Ambassador

Charles Dupois, the Artist of the song “If We Can Dream” is a renowned International Recording Artist and Actor. Not more than a handful of people qualify as larger than life characters, but Charles Dupois trumps them all.

Physically commanding, intense, voluble and animated, this Egyptian born entertainer was raised by a French mother, who was born in Italy and an Egyptian father, making Charles’s heritage truly multi-cultural. This Melbourne raised talented young Artist cut his teeth in the entertainment industry at the early age of nine.

One of Charles' most recent accomplishments was his appointment as an Ambassador for World Peace in May 2008. It is through this appointment that “If We Can Dream” was officially endorsed as the New International World Peace and Humanitarian Anthem.

Charles has carved a CV that boasts highlights that are many and varied, including a 9 month stint in Las Vegas. Charles performed at the Mirage and Luxor Casinos working with the likes of George Benson, Diana Ross, the Stylistics and other showbiz luminaries, as well as offers of recording contracts and Film contracts in the UK, USA and Italy.

Charles was formerly managed by Tom Byron who was also the Personal Manager of famous cricketer Dennis Lillie. This led to the association with Alex Leon, one of Elton John's band members, and Elton John's former manager John Reid. These are among the list of many other high profile music identities that Charles has been involved with.

Charles has also recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, Hollywell Studios in Los Angeles and the world renowned Studios 301 in Sydney Australia. Charles has hosted various TV Shows and performed in a variety of musicals. Charles made his debut in a co-starring role in an A Grade action packed Bollywood Film back in 2010.

Upon Charles's return from Europe he appeared on the Good Morning TV Show in New Zealand and on various radio stations including Classic Hits.

Whilst In Thailand, Charles appeared as a special guest over 3 days on the renowned Thai - OZ Talk Show with Jaye Walton. Jaye Walton is also a Thai Consulate and in fact the person who arranged the official support and endorsement by Thailand's King and Queen for the song “If We Can Dream” and also the Royal Families endorsement for Charles Dupois who is the Artist of the song.

KERRY CRINIS

Executive Producer

Kerry Crinis was a former Melbourne based Barrister and entrepreneur. Over the last fifteen years Kerry has been involved with many major production houses within Australia and New Zealand, funding various projects and TV Shows. Building an empire within the entertainment industry he decided to align himself in this global cause to promote world peace and help create a better world, by co - funding the multi - million dollar "If We Can Dream" production.

His vision and aim is to inspire people around the worlds in finding happiness and peace and for this reason he placed his faith in this international project.      

PETER BLYTON

Record Producer

Peter Blyton is an International Record Producer and Recording Engineer with over 35 years of global experience in the Advertising, Television / Film and Music Industries.

"If We Can Dream", was produced by Aria Award Winner Peter Blyton together with Charles Dupois. Peter is highly respected in the entertainment industry for his work as a Producer / Engineer for the likes of Keith Urban, Elton John, Barbara Streisand, George Benson, U2, the Sick Puppies, David Lee Roth, Australia's INXS, David Bowie, and the Divinyls. Peter also produced the hit song Run to Paradise by the Choir Boys and of course the world renowned New International World Peace and Humanitarian Anthem tilted "If We Can Dream" by Charles Dupois.         

JOHN SPENCE

Music Arranger

John Spence is a composer of executive ability. His music is a mature art with many unique qualities.

He has 25 years of experience across many genres and mediums including orchestral music and electronic music. He is nationally recognised as a fully represented composer at the Australian Music Centre.

His compositions include pieces for chamber ensembles, orchestra (2 large scale symphonic works), choral music and works for solo instruments as well as electronic and experimental music. His chamber music is published by Wirripang.

John Spence's music is increasingly in demand from soloists and chamber ensembles. In late 2003 his work for flute ensemble called 'Waltzing the Boiling Billy' was premiered in Los Angeles at the American Flute Association. In 2004 he composed a "Wollongong Overture" for orchestra as part of the viva la gong festival.

His composition for clarinet and piano called Ylang Ylang was recorded by Mark Walton and David Miller and features on a CD collection of Australia works called 'Piano' and released by Wirrapang in 2005. He has completed a research Masters on electronic music at the university of Wollongong.                 

CHRIS FITZ-GIBBON

Film Director

Chris Fitz-Gibbon of Fitz Air Productions is the International Film Director and Producer involved in this project. Chris brings to this project a wealth of experience having been in the Film Production and Music Industry for the past 40 years. Chris' most recognised work was as the Director of the Music Video Sound track for the Internationally acclaimed Hollywood feature movie Gladiator starring Russell Crowe ,working directly with the Cinematographer.

Hans Zimmer was the writer of the Sound Track for Gladiator which was sung by Lisa Gerrard.

Fitz Air Productions have successfully completed film projects for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, Live Worldwide Championships Wrestling in the United States as well as many International Music film clips for most of Australia's top recording artists.

Chris has also been involved with Dream Works Movie Studios in Los Angeles, produced and arranged the concert/sound for the bands Evermore, John Butler trio, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Spider Bait and many others.

His other credits include being involved with Hollywood movies such as Mighty Morphing Powers Rangers, the Sacramento Kid and the Martha Mitchell Story, just to name few.         

DAMON PARRY

Multimedia Producer

Multimedia Producer, Damon Parry has been working in the film and television industry since 1989. His work includes 20 years at Video 8 Media in Sydney Australia as a colorist in telecine mainly transferring some of the biggest blockbuster feature film rushes as well as 6 years specializing in multimedia production.            

TOM PSOMOTRAGOS

Stills Photographer

Tom Psomotragos has been photographing creative projects since his teenage years. Best known as one of Australia's foremost wedding photographers, his greatest strength lies in his ability to find the richness and beauty below the surface.

He has been both a cinematographer and stills photographer in the film industry, working with some of Australia's best-known directors as well as making his own experimental films.

His art work has been exhibited in several state and private galleries and is represented in collections around Australia.

Tom has taught photography and video in art schools and TAFE colleges. He is currently working on a major portrait project for the City of Sydney, as well as preparing an exhibition of his latest creative work.

DON BARTLEY

5.1 Surround Sound Mastering

Based in Sydney Australia music legend Don Bartley together with his protégé Reece Tunbridge, are working to ensure that Australia's recording industry has a bright future. His company Benchmark was officially launched in 2006 and brings decades of experience and thousands of successful music releases to its facility.

Nestled in the historical Castlereagh St Studios, in years past these prestigious hallways have seen the likes of Prince, David Bowie, George Harrison, Elton John, Joe Cocker, Duran Duran, Alanis Morissette, Midnight Oil, INXS, Sliverchair, Powderfinger and many more. Many of the techniques pioneered by Don Bartley are now widely used in several top overseas mastering houses.

DR STEVE WATSON

Conductor

Dr. Steve Watson is a freelance musical director and music educator, and is currently Academic Advisor for SAE International Graduate College. Steve's particular expertise is in working with singers and choirs. He has an impressive library of choral, instrumental and orchestral arrangements which he has written for special concert presentations and has worked with various renowned musical artists including Andrea Bocelli and Charles Dupois just to name a few.

As a conductor, he has directed Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the Sydney Opera House on five occasions. Steve's voice has been recorded in hundreds of radio and television commercials and he has performed extensively in cabaret.

On a personal level, "If We Can Dream" provided an excellent opportunity to work with an outstanding creative team. The quality of production that was achieved was world class and very inspirational.

The choristers who participated expressed their delight at the performance and were enthusiastic about participating in the recording.

DEBORAH SAFFIR

Production Co-ordinator

Deborah has a varied background in arts administration, tour management, film production and social work. She has also been involved in many peace projects probably the most challenging being the organizing of Australia-wide screenings of a 13-hour peace film.

Her involvement with the "If We Can Dream" project, came through her membership of one of the participating choirs and grew to encompass the co-ordination of the filming of the DVD.

Bringing together all her interests and passions in such an exciting way made the experience of working on the World Peace DVD one that she will never forget.

GILLIAN MEADOW

Vocal Coach

Originally from the USA and now based in Sydney, Gillian received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Degree from the University of Florida and trained extensively in New York as well as singing and dancing Off-Broadway and on the Manhattan nightclub circuit. In Australia she has performed at the Basement and the Woodford Music Festival and has released an album with the vocal group The Fifth House in Sydney.

Gillian's unique teaching skills combine in-depth vocal anatomy training with performance skills in a wide range of music. Her desire to share her passion led her to establish The Joy of Singing studios, where she takes both individual and group classes for professional and amateur singers of all ages. Gillian also directs her own a cappella choir, Satsang.

COPELLA CHOIR

Choir

Ecopella is an environmental choir that sings about the beauty of our world and the struggle to protect it from exploitation and destruction. The choir serves the environment movement by providing activists and audiences with the opportunity to enjoy a high standard of a cappella singing. The music's strong environmental message encourages positive change in people's thoughts and actions and offers encouragement to a wide variety of green organisations.

The Ecopella choir originated in Sydney in 1998 and now has branches in the Blue Mountains, Illawarra and Canberra. The talented team of vocalists has performed at a wide range of events, including benefit concerts, protests, campaign launches, community gatherings and folk festivals.

SATSANG A CAPELLA CHOIR

Choir

Satsang (meaning in good company) is a small established choir, open to anyone with some experience and a desire to sing in beautiful harmony.

Satsang was one of the instrumental choirs in the production of the International World Peace and Humanitarian Anthem titled "If We Can Dream".

IAN LAURENCE - JONAH AND THE WAILERS

Choir

Ian is an extremely talented and passionate musical director of two choirs, Jonah and The Wailers as well as the Elementals. Ian is inspired through music and comes home from choir rehearsals four nights a week feeling both exuberant and excited! He arranges classic gospel spirituals, plus a wide range of songs from varied sources that he feels would sound fantastic in 4 part harmony.

LEICHHARDT ESPRESSO CHOIR

Choir

Leichhardt Espresso Choir is a non auditioned choir from Sydney's inner west. A vibrant and enthusiastic group, the members love to sing and give performances with caffeine-fuelled energy.

The chorus is committed to innovation and excellence, proudly supporting the commissioning of new Australian choral works and the presentation of traditional repertoire. Over the past 11 years, the LEC has sponsored the development of 12 new choral commissions and countless orchestral arrangements. Through their music, the Leichhardt Espresso Choir aims to invigorate community singing.

MICHELLE LEONARD

Artistic Director

Michelle Leonard is the founder, artistic director and conductor of the Leichhardt Espresso Choir. She has worked in some of Sydney's leading music schools including MLC School Burwood, Newtown High School for the Performing Arts & the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Michelle is a past assistant conductor of Sydney Children's Choir. Michelle has always promoted the composition and performance of Australian music, through the commissioning of no fewer than 15 new choral works and insists on using Australian arrangements - even at Christmas time.

She has recently was Choir Master for the Festival of Sydney's "Lost and Found Orchestra" for the internationally acclaimed Stomp Company. In addition, Michelle is Founder, AD and conductor of Moorambilla Voices - the regional children's choirs. She is Festival Director of the Moorambilla Festival held every September in Coonamble NSW.

Michelle conducted the inaugural Moorambilla Voices touring choir in their performance at the Sydney Opera House for the international audience at the Sydney Peace Prize lecture by Patrick Dodson in November 2009.She has also been conductor in residence for Junior Gondwana at the 2008 National Choral School. She is sought after as both a choral clinician and workshop presenter.

THE SYDNEY MALE CHOIR

Choir

The Sydney Male Choir consists of a group of 80 plus disparate men from all walks of life and nationalities, who come together for two hours each week, from the north, south, east and west of Sydney, to carry on a tradition that began 96 years ago for the sole purpose of making music through singing. Today, The Sydney Male Choir is well recognised and respected throughout Australia, having performed in over 25 local and international concerts each year. The men of the Sydney Male Choir love to sing and welcome any invitation to perform with the guiding philosophy of 'BRINGING JOY THROUGH SONG'.

RICHARD INGRAM

North Sydney Symphony Orchestra

The North Sydney Symphony Orchestra was the first orchestra to be established on the north- side of Sydney. Since its formation in 1947 the orchestra has featured on numerous special occasions including the celebrations marking the opening of the Sydney Opera House. The orchestra continues to provide opportunities for talented local soloists to perform with an orchestra and to further the appreciation of fine orchestral music within the community.

Richard Ingram is Chairman of the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra together with nine other members contributed his talents to the production of "If We Can Dream" with great excitement and were pleased to work on a such a positive project; helping to inspire humanity to make the world a better place.

RACHELLE ELLIOT

Orchestras Australia

Orchestras Australia was launched in November 1993 to provide leadership, service and support to orchestras in New South Wales. Orchestras Australia expanded to become a national organisation in 1998.They are a non-profit organisation and are recognised as a peak national body which promotes an environment in which all orchestras throughout Australia can flourish.

VOV DYLAN AND HIS ORCHESTRA

Orchestras

Vov Dylan and his Orchestra are a performance and recording group with experience in all facets of live performance, recording and film work based in Sydney Australia. Formed in 2000, Vov Dylan and his Orchestra have become one of Sydney's busiest and most recognised function and wedding ensembles, with experience in performing for heads of state, celebrities, venue launches and overseas tours to name a few.

Vov Dylan is a 3rd generation musician, who has been playing the Violin since he was 2 years old.

He is now the lead performer, conductor, musical arranger and director of his Orchestras.

Vov and his Orchestra participated in the mammoth undertaking that is "If We Can Dream" in order to "give something back" to the world. It was a great honour to be involved with a beautiful humanitarian global project. The making of this project was certainly one of the most rewarding experiences we have encountered. The production team, the performers and every single member of this project was an honour to meet and work with.

The Oaks Harmony

The Oaks Harmony takes great pleasure in assisting Charles Dupois and the 'If We Can Dream' crew with their accommodation requirements.

It was a privilege to be a favored place of stay and an honour to have housed the production team during their pre and post production periods.

LEANNE BENNET

Artistry of Makeup Academy

AMA is an accredited makeup and beauty academy with branches in Hurstville and Merrylands in Sydney, Australia. Courses are nationally recognised and are offered part time to suit those who have worked full time or have family commitments.

All training staff are experienced makeup artists and or beauty therapists who have all worked extensively in the industry. Working on the world peace project was a fabulous experience for staff and students alike and having the opportunity to work with such a professional cast and crew was a highlight for all.

Alison Bird is owner and director of Sense of Style. As an image consultant ,with over 10 years experience, she has appeared on TV, styled video shoots, presented to corporations, including St George Bank and Boehringer Ingelheim and also devoted time to helping individuals look fabulous.

Alison prides herself on getting to know her clients and their individual needs. For some this means refining their image and for others it's a journey to challenge body perceptions and rebuild self confidence.

Alison provides services including Colour Analysis, Make-up Tuition, Body and Style Analysis, Wardrobe Cleanout and Personal Shopping as well as tailored solutions to Image and Professional Presentation.

The chance to work on the music video "If We Can Dream" supporting World Peace was a great opportunity Alison could not overlook as she believes world peace is something everyone can aspire to.

Working with professionals including Charles Dupois, Peter Blyton and Chris Fitz-Gibbon was an amazing experience Alison will never forget. The shoot was an enormous collaboration of over 300 professionals whose energy and commitment created a memorable music video led by Charles Dupois.

ANNA SZORKOVSKY

Choreographer, Dancer and Teacher

Anna Szorkovsky has studied in areas of dance including jazz, contemporary, hip hop and ballet as well as singing and acting. After graduating in the year 2000 as a performer from Brent Street Studios, Anna went on to perform in numerous pieces including Dance TANK; Freedom to Launch, Directed by Anton, the A1 Grand Prix Opening in 2005 and Italian Delights, a cabaret show featuring Joey Fimmano.

Since launching Midnight Blue Productions in 2006, Anna has created performances for a number of events from corporate through to music videos. MBP prides itself on providing a platform for performers to gain more experience and exposure and develop their own artistic ideas. Recently, Anna choreographed and danced in the music video 'Heart' by Australian Artist, Bertie Blackman. She is now in the process of choreographing 'Alice', a physical theatre production based on Alice in Wonderland produced by Rushcutter Entertainment.

Anna was very honoured to be involved with the "If We Can Dream" music film clip production.

She was greatly inspired by the fact that so many like hearted people were able to place their time and experience for a wonderful cause that is World Peace.

Chic Management and its commercial division Scoop Management provided invaluable personnel and talented back-up singers for the filming of "If We Can Dream".

With years of experience Rebecca Deitch from Chic Management together with Dominica Fulara and Carmen Rivas of Scoop Management participated in the "If We Can Dream" project with great enthusiasm and contributed their talents to this rewarding and refreshing world class production.
